Mission.
The Baltodano Clinic was established in 1992 by Neyton Baltodano, MD, FACP in order to provide comprehensive outpatient (office) and inpatient (hospital) care of patients in Clermont, FL and its vicinity. Our physicians hold Board Certification in Internal Medicine, the specialty of medicine dedicated to taking care of patients with multiple complicated established medical conditions as well as patients suffering from ailments or conditions that require brand new evaluation and work-up. Meticulous in-depth assessment and complete diagnostic evaluation are the hallmarks of Internal Medicine. Once diagnosis is made our physicians continue to manage their patients longitudinally through the entire treatment, cure, and follow-up stage, even if they have multiple advanced chronic medical conditions. Dr. Rodrigo Baltodano holds courtesy admission privileges to Southlake Hospital.
Education.
Our physicians take medical education seriously. They maintain a current portfolio of around the year continuing medical education that far exceeds that required by insurers and hospital and state requirements. They also participate in medical research projects regularly and as Professors of Medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine teach medical students on-site in the Clinic on a regular basis. For more information on current research and education interests please see our physicians' bios.
Serious medical care for even the most complicated cases.
Collaboration with other well established and experienced colleagues is taken very seriously by our physicians; they regularly serve as consultants for other specialists, such as surgeons, for example, in cases of post-operative complications that require medical management. The clinic also co-manages patients that reside seasonally in the Clermont area that have been referred to them by their main primary care physicians in northern states. Additionally, in close rapport with local subspecialists, Dr. Neyton and Dr. Rodrigo have established a close working relationship over the years with an especially cooperative and trusted referral network that streamlines medical care for patients and promotes patient safety, better patient outcomes, and optimal compliance.
The Baltodano Clinic refers patients to and co-manages patients with both the Mayo Clinic- Jacksonville and Shands Hospital at the University of Florida.
